I’m so damned tired I don’t remember who won
I might have voted but I might have just read that at work
As float above or underneath the ground
I hear the Sunday bells
I hear you sleeping it off
As far from home as you have left to go
Are you high enough?
You know, for when the flood comes
I know I lit the match
You bet I’d lit the filter
“So, pick a side”
You laughed and said
“What kind of choice do you have?”
I took the medicine down
You bet I’d just feel worse
As far from home as I have left to go
Ever feel the pull of the planet?
Dizzy vertigo making angels in snow
I know I’ve got the picture of it somewhere
Flock soldered to North Dakota’s eye
Saw your name on the airport news crawl
I’d forgotten about the war by last fall
Take me out to where the harsh winds know
Pull my teeth from the long dark snow
I want to go out slow
I want to go out quietly
I want to go out slow like we used to be
I don’t know where
But I’m getting ready

Restorations can't do any wrong! another fantastic single by this band. I was lucky enough to find most of their singles in an underground record store one day. I listened to them one after the other and just be entranced by their music. what I love most about this band is how even without the singing the music creates deep emotions like an instrumental post rock band.
